“Demon Slayer” was broadcast in April 2019 as an anime based on the popular manga by Yoseharu Goge.
In October 2020, the theatrical version of “Demon Slayer” Infinity Train Arc is scheduled to be released.
The time is Taisho.
The protagonist, Sumijiro Kamakado, follows in the footsteps of his late father and supports his family by making charcoal.
One day when Sumijiro is away from home, his family is slaughtered by demons, and his only surviving sister, Priestess Kamakado, is also turned into a demon. When Priestess Priestess was about to attack Sumijiro, he was saved by a swordsman named Tomioka Yoshiyuu.
Yoshiyuki attempts to “exterminate” Priestess, but realizing that the bond between brother and sister is indeed still there, he puts down his sword.
Guided by Yoshiyuu, Sumijiro visits “Ikute” Rinkutaki Sakonji, and spends his time training in swordsmanship to pursue the demon, seeking a way to return Priestess to human form.
Two years later, Sumijiro passes the selection test, the final gateway to life, and joins the “Oni Killing Squad”.
